We are seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team, ensuring top-tier service, a strong culture of learning, and an elevated guest experience.
The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, staff development, and service excellence. You will play a pivotal role in leading an educated and motivated team while ensuring consistency, precision, and an inspiring workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Educational Leadership
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings with educational components to enhance staff knowledge.
- Ensure guests gain insight into our offerings on 9 out of 10 visits.
- Organize team field trips, wine dinners, and provide access to food & beverage resources.
- Maintain and enhance the restaurant’s wine education program, training staff on pairings and selections.
Inspiration & Aspiration
- Exhibit leadership that motivates staff to excel in service.
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
- Foster a team culture centered around exceptional hospitality and product knowledge.
Nightly Floor Management
- Actively engage on the floor, coaching and observing staff.
- Identify areas for service improvement and implement solutions.
- Interact with guests to enhance their dining experience, particularly in wine service.
Operational Precision & Consistency
- Manage scheduling, reservations, and service manuals efficiently.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all operational procedures and documentation.
Staff & Guest Experience Enhancement
- Develop initiatives to improve workplace satisfaction and guest enjoyment.
- Work collaboratively with fellow managers to maintain a cohesive team.
Human Resources & Personnel Management
- Lead by example to uphold hospitality and service standards.
- Proactively address personnel matters and maintain a positive work environment.
Contribution to Bottom Line
- Implement strategies to enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Support and grow the restaurant’s wine program, increasing engagement and sales.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a fine dining or boutique hospitality setting.
- Strong wine knowledge and experience required.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to train and inspire a team.
- Passion for continuous learning, wine education, and guest engagement.
- Experience managing reservations, scheduling, and operational logistics.
