Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with equipment repair and maintenance, possess strong technical skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair various components of trailers including shocks, struts, and suspensions
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on trailers to ensure optimal performance
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs
- Conduct HVAC system checks and repairs as needed
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment for repair work
- Repair air brake systems and ensure they meet safety standards
- Collaborate with service technicians to address complex mechanical problems
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic or similar role
- Proficiency in equipment repair and maintenance - Welding experience a MUST
- Familiarity with a variety of power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of air brake systems and their components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
What we offer:
Starting pay is $25/hr, which will increase after the 90 day probation period pending performance.
M-F day shift 7am-3:30pm
Full time w/overtime as needed
