Caz Recovery provides residential treatment and support to people with substance use disorders throughout Western New York. We're looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help with general maintenance and other tasks throughout Niagara County.
The Maintenance Assistant performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on agency structures and equipment. Maintenance Assistant will be stationed at Sundram Manor (Niagara Falls) but will also be required to work at Somerset House (Appleton), Madonna House (Lockport), and Step Toward Success Apartments located throughout Niagara County. The Maintenance Assistant will travel to Erie County when needed. Applicants who live in Niagara County preferred. Typical Hours are Days Monday-Friday but there is some flexibility with the days.
Responsibilities
Assists with the routine replacement and repair of plumbing.
Maintains the operation of heating and hot water equipment.
Performs semi-skilled carpentry tasks including repairing doors, windows, stairs, railings, etc.
Conducts interior and exterior painting and decorative work for agency facilities.
Repairs and maintains both keys and locks.
Assists with roof repairs.
Maintains and repairs electrical equipment.
Conducts inspections of agency facilities to ensure they are in compliance.
Inspects safety systems to ensure that they are functioning properly.
Requirements
Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
Adequate reading and writing skills.
Must possess a valid New York State driver's license and is insurable.
Pay & Benefits
Pay is $20.50 per hour
$250 conditional sign-on bonus
