Description A well-established NYC Community Organization is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their amazing team! Responsibilities of this role will include:
Performing account reconciliations
Supporting general ledger maintenance
Preparing journal entries and supporting the month end close
Handling monthly and quarterly reports
Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Reviewing and improving current processes
Handling ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 2 years of previous experience. Nonprofit background required, preferably with exposure to grant accounting. This position will go to a dedicated worker with excellent organizational and communication skills.
