Entry-Level designer (1-5 years experience) responsible for assisting project team(s) with the design of interior elements of new and renovated spaces. Interior Designer will typically work on multiple projects under the supervision of Interior Designer 2 and 3, and sometimes architectural project managers. Bachelor’s degree in interior design preferred.
Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:¬
Researching interior products including finishes, furniture, casework, etc.
Participating in product vendor meetings to learn about new products and keep the office product library up to date.
Collaborating with the architectural design team to select interior finishes that are compatible with the architectural design and detailing of the building.
Participating in client meetings through all phases of design to review and finalize interior selections.
Creating finish boards and/or PowerPoint presentations to convey finishes to the client.
Assisting with specifications related to interior design elements.
Assisting with design documentation including finish legend and schedule, finish plans and elevations.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and pdf software required. Working knowledge of SketchUp is preferred.
