JOB DESCRIPTION
Located in Castleton NY (15 Minutes East of Albany) Tasting Room Sales Associate. Part-time
This Job starts the 3rd week of April
April 15 through November 1 2025 10am-4pm Saturdays (and some Sundays) Every Weekend: Additional Hours Available for Events
SUMMARY: Weekend Warrior/On-call Bartenders wanted! The Tasting Room Sales Associate is responsible for providing the front line guest experience. This position is the forefront of customer service in creating the perfect balance of education and good times.
DUTIES:
Maintain winery image to reinforce standards
Pouring samples of wine
Encouraging customers to buy wine
Educating guests about SGW history and wines
Accurate use of the POS System
Ability to follow policies and procedures
Opening and closing duties, which includes but is not limited to:
setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and all items related to SGW events Restocking of wine and merchandise
Assistance with occasional event + large group
Helping to wash dishes + light food preparation
Outside of weekend work, optional midweek work also available
QUALIFICATIONS:

Sufficient first-hand knowledge of wine and wine-related topics. Passion for wine in day-to-day life. Bartending/Serving/Winery experience preferred
Retail sales experience: ability to present product, up sell + cross sell. Square knowledge, skills appreciated. Available to work weekends and holidays on occasion. Professional + clean appearance.
Demonstrate initiative and willingness to work events and special projects as well as other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one to three years related experience. High School Diploma. 21+
