Actalent Services is hiring for a Mechanical Project Manager/Engineer to join our team onsite in Albany, OR!Job Description:Looking for a Project Engineer who can manage and see through the completion of internal capital projects that range from 25k all the way to millions depending on the persons experience. This person will be working under the guidance of the engineering manager and will be spending 50% of their time at the plant boots on ground and 50% at the time at the office.This person will be meeting with stakeholders to outline the projects, scoping out the projects to come up with quotes, work with 3rd party vendors on technical issues, cut PO's, work with maintenance resources on equipment installs and logistics, job walks, mark ups and red lining on designs, work with the manufacturing teams, and other tasks discussed.Overall this person will scope and price out the projects along with the concerns discussed. Design and develop if need be to what the customer needs and once that quote is approved they will set a timeline with that department and work on seeing the project through. There could be potentially several road blocks and escalations but overall its this persons job to mitigate, communicate and see through to completion.MUST HAVES:-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, or relevant work experience -5+ years of Project Engineering/Manager Experience -Autocad 2d-Inventor 3d (Just need to be familiar with but not required)NICE TO HAVES:-Heavy Industrial experience: (1-2 yrs. would be a positive starting point. Someone coming from a lab environment wouldn’t work.)-knowledge of safety codes and building codes: (someone who knows about OSHA and NAFT and where to find it in the manuals would be good)-Familiarity with pressure vessels and hydraulics: ( they have a few projects that will deal within this space and the more someone knows the better)-Project Management experience: ( 2 yrs. Ideally with someone dealing with timelines, budgets, managing, MS tools, etc)Additional Skills & Qualifications:-Analyze and interpret requesting department's needs for new or refurbished equipment, systems and facilities and propose viable alternatives and solutions.-Prepare cost estimates, schedules and performance objectives for capital and expense projects.-Design cost-effective new, modified or replacement equipment, buildings, structures or systems per applicable codes to meet production, environmental and safety requirements.-Prepare specifications and obtain competitive bids and estimates for labor and material costs to acquire funding to complete assigned engineering projects.-Analyze and recommend bids, estimate labor costs, downtime costs and material costs to develop a budget.-Support engineering functions as needed to fellow engineers for projects in other disciplines.-Oversee, direct and supervise contractors and consultants during design, construction, modification, and installation of plant equipment, facilities and systems.-Coordinate with plant maintenance and operations for various projects.About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
