The Assistant Behavior Therapist (ABT) assists in the development and implementation of behavior management plans for agency participants with intellectual disabilities. The ABT participates as a multidisciplinary team member in developing each participant's Individual Program Plan and implements therapy plans; assists in documentation of initial and on-going assessments on participants requiring behavior therapy services; provides active crisis intervention as needed; coordinates with other service providers as necessary; assists in training of direct care staff in proper implementation of behavior plans.

1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, guidance and counseling, psychology, or closely related field is required
2. One year work experience with intellectually disabled individuals, special education, or mental health work experience
3. Knowledge of technical and professional principles and skills of behavior management
4. Experience working in behavioral health required
