We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations at our thriving Santa Fe restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising the food from prep and cooking to baked goods, ideas for seasonal specials and menu additions, as well as maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory, working with our mix of local and regional vendors to source the best produce, meat and dairy while ensuring timely deliveries, and complying with safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
To be successful in this role, you should be a leader who is able to manage our incredible kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food, on time, while building a strong sense of collective in the BOH.
Responsibilities include:
Manage kitchen staff, supervise food prep and cooking, check food plating and temp, oversee food orders and ensure timely deliveries, effectively manage cost of goods, schedule kitchen staff shifts, price menu items, order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed, train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques, store food products in compliance with safety practices, keep weekly and monthly cost reports, and maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen and restaurant.
La Mama is a women owned restaurant, wine bar, and cafe looking to hire an experienced kitchen manager to join our AM and PM team as we roll into the busy summer season.
Come join our kitchen where we are making everything in house; breads, ferments, sauces, cultured dairy, preserves, and other incredible foodstuffs. We source locally, love vegetables, cook seasonally, and have a lot of fun doing it.
We currently are looking to fill an AM and PM position, open availability is preferred, but willing to work with the right candidate.
