Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Description: Assistant RestaurantManager
The role of the Assistant Restaurant Manager is a key component of the management structure at La Boca. The ARM reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and Chefand functions as a critical team member along side theSous Chef, Office Manager, and Floor Managers to achieve our goals of providing the highest level of hospitality possible for our guests and cultivating and maintaining a positive work environment for FOH employees.
Role andGoals
Assist the Restaurant Manager to Ensure all FOH staff have training and resources needed to carry out their job responsibilities efficiently, effectively. And provide coaching and/or consequences for FOH staff who are unable to carry out job responsibilities
Foster a work environment in alignment with LB Points of Culture, Visionand Mission Statements
Assistant the Restaurant Manager, Chef, and Sous Chef on projects and special events.
Maintaining, updating and improving all La Boca FOH systems and steps of service. Work with Restaurant Manager to ensure all systems run smoothly.
Interface with Chef and Sous Chef to assure smooth operations between BOH & FOH
Handle intake, paperwork and introductions of new hires
POS programming and maintenance
Assist with assuring proper function of all facilities and equipment is maintained
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings along with Restaurant Manager
Complete Daily Manager Log and share with all managementstaff
Assist with inventories of FOH itemsand ensure that we have everything needed for our hospitality goals. Replace or report any needs, missing, broken items in a manager log.
Daily cash management
Be responsible for keys to the restaurant and office
Order/get any products we may need to run smoothly.
Place linen orders.
Place wine orders
Ensure wine list and POS are up to date
Put wine away when orders come in and ensure all staff knows where it is.
Conduct wine education for staff on new wines.
