Description Robert Half is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Santa Fe, NM. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and managing accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing and collections. The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with clients while ensuring the financial health of the organization.Responsibilities:

Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to clients based on contracts and agreements.

Process payments received from clients and accurately apply them to customer accounts.

Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing or payments, communicating effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on past due invoices to ensure timely collections.

Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to address client inquiries and resolve billing disputes or issues.

Prepare and distribute regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis and cash flow projections.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts receivable transactions and communications.

Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to streamline accounts receivable processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable.

Experience with collections processes and techniques is a plus.
