Description Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Santa Fe, NM. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and service providers. This role is critical to maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the financial operations of our organization.Responsibilities:

Receive and review invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.

Code and enter invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.

Process weekly check runs and electronic payments, ensuring adherence to payment terms and schedules.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues with payments.

Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, invoice discrepancies, and account reconciliations.

Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation.

Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve purchasing and invoice approval issues.

Support the Accounts Payable Manager with ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.

Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies in the accounts payable function.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and invoice processing.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including 3-way matching and purchase order systems.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience with electronic payment processing systems is a plus.
