Description Robert Half is seeking a IT Support professional for a contract opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico.This role is onsite.The IT Support Professionals responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform functional and technical information systems support for assigned department:install and maintain application software and end user devices such as personal computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones; maintain and administer computer systems and applications; provide technical support and assistance to department end users and perform a variety of analytical duties relative to assigned area of responsibility. Candidate is expected to have fundamental knowledge of the technologies listed above and have a basic understanding of hardware, network and software fundamentals. Will receive a significant amount of supervision and on the job training.Job descriptions are intended to present a general list of tasks/duties performed by employees within this job classification. Other duties as neededRequirements Interviews are currently being conducted, for immediate consideration please apply.The successful IT Support professional will have:Minimum Education, Experience And Additional RequirementsEducation and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, computer science, or business administration; andTwo (2) year of customer service experience in any of the following areas: selection and configuration of end user devices installing, maintaining and troubleshooting PC's analyzing and assessing technological needs or software application analysisADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or ability to obtain by date of hire.Preferred Knowledge Basic theories and applications of computer science Basic principles and practices of applications systems programming Personal computer hardware and software components Basic methods and techniques used in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of software applications Basic methods and techniques used in the installation, troubleshooting, upgrading and problem resolution of information systems Possesses basic ITIL knowledge Operational characteristics of various computer programs, networks, software packages and programming languages Basic characteristics of various computer programs, networks, software packages and programming languagesPreferred Skills & Abilities Provide technical support for the implementation and maintenance of various software applications Create various reports, charts and other materials from multiple layers of data stored in databases Respond to and identify user needs and determine resolutions Learn methods and techniques of application development, system design and programming Learn to recommend, design, implement and install computer software applications Learn to apply a wide variety of computer programming languages Learn to detect, isolate and resolve application problems Learn to analyze and assess the technological needs of organizational groups Learn to install, troubleshoot and upgrade information systems Learn to evaluate, test, implement and support new operating systems Perform routine systems analysis duties Recommend appropriate technology to meet client needs Communicate clearly and concisely Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Work occasional weekends and provide after hours support, including evenings and weekends as requiredBackground required prior to employment Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
