Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm (4/10 Work Schedule)

Duration: Temp to hire

Pay: Pay Range starting at $25/hr DOE

Job Description:

Our client is a well-known small manufacturing company here in Albuquerque who is seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper who will be responsible for handling the financial records of a small manufacturing business. In this position you will be expected to generate financial reports, reconcile bank accounts, maintain the general ledger, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. You will be responsible for accounting for purchases, accounts payable and cash payments; preparing financial statements and tax forms; recording complex transactions; and processing timesheets and payroll.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and transactions

Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and to identify any irregularities and errors that need to be

addressed

Process accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner

Manage payroll and employee benefits, including calculating and processing payroll, tracking vacation and sick time, and administering health insurance and retirement plans

Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax forms, including gross receipts tax and payroll taxes

Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards, using GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Balance and close financials on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

Qualifications:

Certified Bookkeeper (CB) preferred

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Proficiency in using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) and Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Experience in managing accounts payable

Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations

Experience in preparing financial statements and reports

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights
