It isn't a question.Sr. Manager, Equipment Engineering (Remote)The Sr. Manager, Equipment Engineering will be focused on providing strategic process & packaging equipment engineering guidance into the design and operational philosophy for key Haleon Consumer sites and external contract manufacturing & packaging companies. The primary purpose of this role is to provide strong technical leadership and develop innovative solutions for manufacturing & packaging of several dosage forms of consumer goods in support of the Haleon Consumer Operating Unit. This role will require extensive travel to USA/Canada locations. (Approximately 50% travel).This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:Is a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Manufacturing and Packaging of Consumer Goods and has advanced knowledge of principles and concepts in other engineering disciplines.Provides technical guidance and support for the design and implementation of process equipment as well as filling, inspection, and secondary packaging systems for consumer products.Development, review, and approval of equipment supporting documentation including qualification documents, User Requirements Specifications, Factory Acceptance Tests, IQ/OQ/PQ Documentation.Development and evaluation of manufacturing and packaging process methods as well as equipment to meet performance and quality requirements.Supports manufacturing and packaging issue investigations as well as product supply issues when required.Maintains knowledge of current manufacturing and packaging technologies, equipment innovations and regulatory standards for all markets served.Develops innovative solutions and ideas, takes appropriate risks to challenge the status quo resulting in enhanced processes, and leads/co-leads complex projects.Leads as required, operational/technical team(s) to equipment within the network and takes responsibility for the team's milestones/deliverables.Operates independently on most assignments using knowledge and work experience to achieve desired results.Uses a variety of communication tools and techniques to present complex ideas and must anticipates potential objections and be able to influences others.Why you?Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:Bachelor's degree in EngineeringMust have 7+ years' experience in automated equipment used for manufacturing and packaging.Strong understanding of equipment and project design controls.Preferred Qualifications:If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:Master of Science (MS) or MBA in Engineering or Business AdministrationStrong qualification and validation skills and experience with GAMP guidance.In-depth experience in developing, designing, producing, or supporting equipment in a cGMP environment required.Strong understanding of equipment and project design controls to include (pFMEA's drawings, specifications, work instructions, inspections), technology transfer and risk management and mitigation.Knowledge of statistics, process control, quality engineering, sampling requirements, statistical techniques, and process capability.Experience with several different materials and components associated with consumer goods product manufacturing and primary packaging.Experience with secondary packaging operations including pressure sensitive & shrink sleeve labeling, printing inspection and verification systems, carton, bundling & case packing automated palletizing solutions.CAD Experience including SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred.Knowledge of Serialization requirements for all products and markets that the business delivers to.Familiarity with relevant quality and regulatory requirements and trends and cGMP's (e.g. FDA, EU Annex 1, PIC/S, PDA, ISPE, etc.).Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organization, including business managers, operations leaders, and technical leaders.Appropriate business acumen to lead or provide guidance on equipment and capital investment strategies.Experience with Sustainability as it applies to components and equipment.Stakeholder management across a matrix organization to deliver results, demonstrating an ability to work in an ambiguous context with shifting priorities and to adapt.Ability to challenge existing practices and to introduce new ideas and change ways of working based on sound technical knowledge.Experience in evaluating ROI, preparing business cases, and leading capital projects.Experience in Innovation and innovative ways of working.Ability to summarize complex ideas and problems as well as effectively communicate these to stakeholders in different functions and at various levels in the organization.Excellent relationship management and presentation skills.Broad knowledge of manufacturing and packaging equipment suppliers.Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion At Haleon we embrace our diverse workforce by creating an inclusive environment that celebrates our unique perspectives, generates curiosity to create unmatched understanding of each other, and promotes fair and equitable outcomes for everyone.
