Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.Responsibilities
Collaborate with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Develop templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department Requirements - Excellent written and verbal business skills
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Full cycle recruiting experience
Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
You should be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Proven understanding local, state and federal laws
Prior HR Generalist experience
Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
