Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are offering a great opportunity with one of our clients for a meticulous Accounts Receivable Clerk. This person will become an integral part of the accounting team located in Parsippany, New Jersey. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with critical responsibilities such as managing collections, facilitating customer accounts, and supporting process improvements. Responsibilities: Carry out collections on assigned accounts, analyzing payment patterns and obtaining due amounts. Assist in the initiation of customer accounts by analyzing credit reports, payment tendencies, and recommending a credit line. Prioritize and coordinate collection initiatives within the team, including optimal use of escalation emails and letters. Oversee new customer onboarding and promote its usage to customers. Regularly inspect customer invoices on the portal to ensure details are accurate and accessible. Support alternative invoice delivery methods for certain accounts. Aid customers in creating new accounts via portal and encourage increased usage of electronic payment methods. Update customer details in ERP such as contact information, invoice delivery method, etc. Process daily in-house deposits and apply cash from various payment methods. Resolve cash application issues with customers involving internal departments as necessary. Manage the AR/Finance email inbox and distribute incoming messages as required. Lead or participate in projects related to process documentation, system implementation, and process improvement. Contribute to the achievement of AR department aims, such as reducing overdue percentage.Requirements A minimum of two years of experience in the role of Accounts Receivable Clerk or a similar role in the manufacturing industry Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections Familiarity with Commercial Collections Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
