Senior Program Manager/Rail Program Development

AECOM’s NY Metro Transit Rail Planning team is looking for an individual with proven transit and passenger rail planning and project development expertise to join a collaborative team that balances our client-responsiveness, sound technical analysis, creativity, and digital technology to find the right passenger rail solutions for this and future generations. The Senior Program Manager/Rail Program Development will report to the Vice President, NYM Transit Rail Planning and will provide project and client management, business development, and technical direction for the NYM Transit Rail Planning focusing on program and project development and managing large, interdisciplinary assignments, including putting together project teams and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.  The range of projects to include transit and passenger rail planning and engineering as well as capital programming to support our portfolio of large infrastructure projects.The successful candidate will be required to be in a New York Metro office (New York or New Jersey) a minimum three days a week and able to travel locally in the New York Metro area. This position’s responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:Candidate will have a leadership role in business development strategy including industry and client outreach and leading responses to agency Requests for Proposals (RFPs).Collaborate with AECOM’s global transit/rail planning and engineering resources and our digital AECOM toolkit.Develop and support growth and client-specific business development strategies.Provide technical expertise and guidance.Mentor and build capacity within transit rail planning staff.Coordinate with AECOM’s multidisciplinary planning and engineering practices.Manage AECOM and subconsultant resources.Support new business development activities including industry events and client proposals.Project management role including scope/schedule/budget adherence for project assignments. The ideal candidate will provide project and client management, business development, and technical direction for the NYM Transit Rail Planning team.    About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
