Job Description
A warehouse supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, including staff, inventory, and safety:
-Staff management: Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
Assign tasks and evaluate performance.
-Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
-Inventory management: Track inventory, receive and record new inventory, and conduct regular audits
-Safety management: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and monitor staff to ensure they are following safety procedures
-Process improvement: Develop and improve warehouse processes and procedures, and implement operational policies. Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
-Communication: Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
-Shipping and receiving: Oversee receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments, and track in-bound and out-bound inventory
-Supplies and equipment: Order new supplies and equipment
-Scan home appliance units and inspect units as A or B grades per KW guidelines
-Use forklift/clamp (whichever the employee is licensed to drive) to safely move goods in or around the warehouse/building site, if licensed
-Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff
-Be able to prioritize tasks and multitask
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
-Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to meet deadlines.
-Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
Qualifications:
· Warehouse supervisors often work in busy environments where priorities can change quickly, so they need to be able to multitask and delegate effectively.
· Manage time well, prioritizing tasks based on urgency, requirements, and how long they may take to complete.
· High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
· Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
· Computer Savy.
· Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and experience in implementing safety protocols.
FULL TIME
Monday – Friday
9 AM – 6 PM
Hourly rate $21.00-$23.00 depends of experience
Spanish is a plus
