We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our 200-seat refined dining establishment and bar, located in an upscale New Jersey suburb just outside New York City. Our restaurant offers an innovative menu of pan-Asian inspired global cuisine, crafted cocktails, and an atmosphere that blends sophistication with warm hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

Recruit, train, and mentor a team of 50+ staff members across all departments

Foster a culture of excellence, creativity, and continuous improvement

Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement development plans

Operations Oversight

Ensure smooth daily operations, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and service

Manage inventory, cost controls, and budgeting to optimize profitability

Implement and enforce health, safety, and liquor regulations

Guest Experience:

Cultivate a refined yet welcoming ambiance that appeals to our upper-middle-class clientele

Personally engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly

Develop strategies to enhance customer loyalty and increase repeat business

Business Development:

Collaborate with the executive chef to create seasonal menus and special events

Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and increase revenue

Analyze market trends and guest feedback to continually refine our offerings

Financial Management:

Oversee all financial aspects, including P&L statements, labor costs, and revenue forecasting

Identify areas for cost savings without compromising quality or guest experience

Qualifications:

7+ years of management experience in upscale dining establishments

Proven track record of financial success and operational excellence

Strong understanding of pan-Asian and global cuisines

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

Exceptional communication skills and a polished presence

Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems

ServSafe certification and thorough knowledge of food safety regulations

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
