We seek a business-savvy and hospitality-driven General Manager to oversee our Paramus, NJ cafe. This hands-on role requires the GM to work with the team, providing an outstanding work-life balance while ensuring smooth daily operations in this daytime-focused concept.
Cafe General Manager Responsibilities:
Oversee the cafe’s daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Set the tone at your location, bringing energy and inspiring your team to do the same.
Build genuine connections with guests, helping to establish regulars and create a welcoming environment.
Enforce quality assurance standards and ensure steps of service are followed.
Manage the overall profitability of the store, hitting sales, cost of goods, and labor targets.
Encourage development within your team through regular feedback and performance reviews.
Lead by example in Health & Safety and ensure ServSafe compliance.
Engage with the local community, fulfilling the company’s value proposition in your neighborhood.
Cafe General Manager Qualifications:
2+ years of General Manager experience in a full-service restaurant.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service.
Proven success in achieving key performance indicators in previous roles.
Strong financial acumen, with experience managing a P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
Coaching and mentoring skills to develop hourly team members.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
DOH Accreditation and/or ServSafe Certified.
Cafe General Manager Compensation & Benefits:
