We are a small, family owned fish market located in Oakland, NJ. We operate inside the Giant Farmers Market in the Coppertree Mall. We need someone to work the counter, help customers, and help maintain a clean and safe work environment. No experience is necessary but it’s a plus. We will train. Being nice, though, is a requirement for the job. And being proficient in Spanish is preferred but not necessary.
Counter Person's Responisbilities:
- Help Customers with their orders with a good demeanor(includes shucking clams and oysters upon request, will train)
- POS/cash handling
- Restocking when needed
- Maintaining and cleaning the area
- Helping the fish cutter set up displays
- Opening and/or closing duties
- Helping with daily shipments. The boxes can get heavy so being able to lift heavy objects is a must.
- Doing daily inventory
We're looking for a part-time employee who can work Mondays and Tuesdays, 12-7 and possibly some more days during the week and weekend depending on other people’s schedules. Starting pay is $16/hr. Pay is given weekly and will be off the books and in cash. We would prefer applicants who are going to be around all year and not going away to school in the fall/spring.
