Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. As Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, inventory, food preparation, staff hiring/training, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Collaborate with senior partners to develop and refine seasonal menus that are creative, delicious, and profitable.
Food Preparation: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of culinary professionals, including line cooks and prep cooks.
Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, place orders, and control food costs to ensure profitability.
Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all dishes meet established standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Lead Chef or Sous Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Strong culinary skills and a passion for food.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficient in inventory management and cost control.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends (closed Sundays).
