The River Palm Terrace in Edgewater NJ, is seeking an experianced Sous Chef to work along side our Executive chef and lead our team
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of food production and kitchen operations
- Develop and implement menu plans, ensuring variety and quality of food offerings
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring and training.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in the hospitality or food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management principles
- Excellent menu planning skills, with a focus on creativity and customer preferences
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment
