Seeking a manager for an attractive and new waterfront restaurant in Jersey City, NJ. The restaurant is dynamic and popular with locals and foodies. The food program is Modern American - upscale, expressing principles of quality, skill of execution, and freshness of ingredients. Bar program is progressive, craft, and diverse. Candidate must have strong and established experience as a qualified service and/or bar manager in various work histories.
The position entails traditional management responsibilities: schedules, guest interaction and relations, service team direction and support, concept and morale driving, service standards enforcement, support of management team. Fine dining experience preferred a plus. Concentration on floor presence, steps of service, staff training and continuing education, accountability. Ideal candidate will have been a front of house team member for at least three years, service trainer, and a manager for 2+ years. Must be able to work holidays, nights and weekends, without exception.
