Remodeling Contractor is seeking an experienced estimator/job coordinator.
Assist the owner with estimating for residential and light commercial construction projects.
5+ years of Residential Construction Estimating Experience or related field
Computer requirements a must; Internet, MS Word/Excel, AutoCad/Sketchbook a plus,
Requires the ability to read & interpret construction drawings/specs and perform take-offs & assemble bids from architectural plans/drawings
Preparing Take-Offs, creating accurate scopes of work, qualifying subs, soliciting bids and analyzing proposals prior to submissions
Coordinate blueprints/drawings for distribution to subcontractors and vendors to obtain bids
Oversee production bids
Must be familiar with material and labor costs
Material orders
Create Change Orders as needed
Implement and track job costing
Applicants should be familiar with Rockland and Bergen Counties. This position is part time or outside consultant/freelance. Purchasing experience is required.
