Exterior sign/awning/canopy/sunshade manufacturer seeks project manager assistant to manage local and regional projects. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, speak clearly and compose professional emails, be highly organized, open minded to be teachable, ability to listen and follow direction, stay focused and connected with tasks at hand, follow thru and track assignments given.
Position Responsibilities:
-Day to day management of projects from introduction through project close-out.
-Occasionally travel to municipalities and jobsites throughout Northern NJ and NY metro area.
-Scanning documents, submittals of contracts, permit procurement and change orders.
-Assist with ensuring that fabrication and installation work moves according to pre-determined schedule.
-Interacting with Subcontractors and Vendors.
-Efficiency in all Microsoft Office software and make effective and efficient use of computer and office time.

Some prior history of commercial project management in the construction trades a plus, with references.
Position is long term and a stepping stone to becoming a senior project manager with time.
Must haves: Valid driver's license, pass random drug and alcohol tests, have reliable transportation.
