Are you an organized and diligent bookkeeper looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic and growing industry? Lefstein-Suchoff CPA & Associates, d/b/a The Canna CPAs, a leading CPA and CFO firm specializing in the cannabis industry, is seeking an experienced full-charge bookkeeper to help us manage and expand our financial operations. This position is based in our Fair Lawn, NJ, office and is not remote.

The role will start part-time with the potential to transition to full-time as we continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage comprehensive financial records and transactions.

Proficient use of QuickBooks Desktop for all bookkeeping tasks, including processing payroll and allocating payroll journal entries.

Operate QuickBooks Online and other software applications as needed.

Prepare financial reports and statements for review.

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop; familiarity with QuickBooks Online is also required.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including an understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounts.

Ability to articulate and effectively communicate with clients, both orally and in writing.

Knowledge of payroll taxes and experience with QuickBooks Desktop payroll.

Must be able to meet deadlines.

Must be able to commute daily to our Fair Lawn, NJ office.
