Imagine your future with us.ABOUT THIS ROLEAs a Director of Audio Video (AV), you will oversee AV infrastructure deployment and support, guide the execution of live events, manage AV projects, and hire and develop talent. In this role, you will manage a team that designs, delivers, optimizes, and supports various AV solutions including conference rooms, event space, and digital signage. The team is based out of Newark, NJ but provides global support. You will work closely with tech teams at Audible and Amazon, facilities stakeholders, finance partners, and leadership across the company to deliver the best possible customer experience.ABOUT YOUYou are strategic and influenced by Technology and Culture but balance that with execution of daily tasks to maintain a high bar for customer service. You have experience both in building out AV infrastructure and supporting live events. Being a leader and developing yourself and your team are important to you. Lead a team of onsite AV Support Engineers responsible for day-to-day end-user AV support as well as the maintenance and break/fix of conference and meeting rooms hardware

Manage inventories, budgets and life cycle management

Develop and execute strategic new initiatives to enhance AV services

Ensure project plans are on target and executed comprehensively

Monitor the live event program and find opportunities to execute more efficiently and delight our customers

Be an escalation point for the team and provide technical leadership to appropriate personnel

Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business

Manage and optimize relationships with vendors that augment your team’s capacity and capabilities

Create regular reports to share insights with leadership

Be a passionate builder of talent and teams. You will hire, coach, and mentor

Own your team’s operational excellence, including creation of and monitoring of metrics and alerts, gathering of and analyzing customer feedback, regular scrutinization of processes, and maintaining documentation

7+ years of experience working AV teams

3+ years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing AV infrastructure

3+ years of experience managing projects, budgets, and inventory life cycles

3+ years of experience creating code for AV platforms

Experience working with AV technologies such as Extron, Crestron, BiAmp, Cisco, Shure, and Poly; control systems, DTP systems, matrix switchers, extenders and audio DSPs

Experience with network technology including video and audio over IP (e.g. Dante/AES)

Experience working with networking and general IT teams and familiarity with related core services, such as DNS, DHCP, and Email

5+ years of people management experience

3+ years of experience supporting live events

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment

CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D, or Cedia equivalent Crestron DMC-T or DMC-E Certification SynAudCon Training

CTI-P101 Foundations of Crestron Programming Certification

CompTia Network+ and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Additional Certifications or formal training by AV manufacturers (e.g. Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Cisco, Dante, etc.)

Experience implementing with Digital Signage, specifically video walls

Experience managing vendors

Experience with procurement of software, hardware, and resources

Experience with project management and project management certification

Action-oriented strategic thinker

Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment - where change is the only constant

Detail oriented to ensure that project success

Strong verbal and communication skills

Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work in a very fast paced environment

Ability to operate with autonomy with little oversight or direction
