Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Catering Manager to join our team. As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our catering operations, ensuring the successful planning and execution of events. Your exceptional leadership skills and attention to detail will contribute to delivering outstanding customer experiences and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.

Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of catering staff, ensuring their compliance with food safety and service standards.

Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, including menu preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests.

Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of quality ingredients and catering equipment.

Prepare and present detailed event proposals to clients, outlining menu options, pricing, and logistical details.

Monitor and control catering budgets, expenses, and revenue to achieve profitability targets.

Ensure the smooth execution of events by coordinating with internal departments, such as kitchen staff, servers, and event planners.

Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into menu planning and service enhancements.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation throughout all catering operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and catering trends.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and staff.

Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and catering/event management software.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management and problem-solving.

Food Safety Manager Certification (ServSafe or equivalent) is highly desirable.
