Your responsibilities will extend to managing and maintaining a pipeline of active syndicated transactions for team members, and providing assistance with ad-hoc inquiries from Borrowers, Lenders, and Arrangers. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with team members and senior management across diverse business lines, thrive in a challenging and rapidly evolving environment, and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing performance and efficiency.Job Responsibilities
Support Leverage Finance and Debt Capital Markets with the execution and closing of complex loan transactions, including but not limited to, new deals, refinancing and amendments, manage and maintain an individual pipeline of active syndicated transactions for both the Corporate Investment and Commercial Banks
Collect and review legal loan documentation for operational feasibility, optimal execution mechanics, regulatory requirements, and mitigation of operational risk. Execution of best practices and control, risk mitigation and escalation point of contact
Review internal loan related spreadsheets (e.g., funds flows) for accuracy and completeness and review and advise on funding mechanics and operational requirements as it pertains to internal booking locations, regional and currency policies
Liaise and coordinate pre-closing requirements with internal and external clients (i.e., Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate, Credit Risk, Loan and Agency Services, Product Control, Legal, Trade Settlements, Borrowers and Lenders). Coordinate internal KYC review and Flood due diligence
Initiate and coordinate trade settlement process with ClearPar and internal trade settlement team for Institutional Term Loan transactions
Assist with ad-hoc inquiries from Borrowers, Lenders, and Arrangers pertaining to the closing process and ongoing maintenance of the deal and schedule internal conference calls to ensure pre-closing requirements have been met and resolve / escalate any outstanding issues
Participate in projects and provide valuable input with various working groups created to enhance performance and efficiency
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 3 years of Syndicated Loan experience and understanding of financial services, specifically within Investment Banking.
Knowledge of the Syndicated Loan product and business, including an understanding of a Credit Agreement, loan funding mechanics, deal structure, funds flows, etc.
Prior experience working with clients to collect and review pre-syndicated loan documentation ahead of closing large transactions
Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management across and within the lines of business with a keen attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and strong analytical capability
Ability to operate in a challenging and rapidly changing environment with a desire to accept new assignments and the ability to learn new principles and dynamic systems quickly
Critical decision-making abilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to problems and ability to multi-task through the practice of strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to take initiative and self-motivate, as well as work as part of a team
