We provide full IT support too small to mid-sized companies in varying fields including Freight Transport, Property Management, Financial/Banking and more, priding ourselves as being their single source for all IT solutions, including IT project design and implementation, security services, helpdesk services, System monitoring, WAN/LAN services, etc. Favorable consideration will be given to applicants that have a successful record in an MSP organization.
Individuals applying will diagnose system and application failure to isolate the source of problems between equipment, network, system software, application program and user knowledge. They should be experienced on a Service Desk performing Tier1/Tier2 Phone and Remote Support and fully understand the importance of Client Satisfaction, consultant etiquette, and follow up. This is an extremely busy company and individuals MUST be able to multitask, organize large amounts of documentation and emails, communicate with Clients and teammates, document thoroughly, and shift skills regularly between desktop, server, and backbone support. Be available for local travel when on-sites are required throughout areas of NJ (mostly central) and NY (city).
Required:
Extensive knowledge of Windows desktop and server , XP, Vista, Windows 7, 2000,
2003, 2008
Familiarity with Active Directory, account and group creation and editing, Basic GPO
settings
Hardware experience, RAM, PCI, SCSI replacements/installs, Hard drive swaps, rack
mounting
Understanding/Experience with VPN clients and site to site
Experience with MS Exchange, Symantec AV and Backup Exec
Basic experience with Terminal Server and Terminal/Roaming user profiles
Desktop App support experience with Office (especially Outlook), AV clients, Browsers, Adobe
Solid understanding of Printer/file sharing and access permissions
Understanding of DNS, DHCP and commands/utilities such as ping, tracert, nslookup,robocopy
3-5 years’ experience
Basic experience with Sonicwall Firewalls (and/or Cisco)
Experience with Managed switches
VM Ware ESX and or ESXi experience
Basic SQL DB experience such as maintenance schedules
Experience with Email Pre-scanners such as MX Logic and Postini
Microsoft certifications such as MCP, MCSE
