BACKGROUND
In 1948, the sons of Joseph and Carmela Stavola founded Stavola Contracting Co., the first Stavola Company. Today, Stavola Companies remain a family-owned and operated business, consisting of four major divisions: Asphalt and Recycling Materials, Construction Materials, Contracting (heavy highway construction) and Real Estate, all located in New Jersey. What started as a company offering basement excavation and driveway paving now has 3 quarries in NJ, 2 quarries in PA, 8 asphalt plants, 3 recycling centers, and several gravel mining operations.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
Maintain computer and software systems; diagnose, repair, troubleshoot, provide helpdesk and technical support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Troubleshoot connectivity issues in challenging outdoor/industrial environments
Assist co-workers and customers with IT-related problems.
Install and terminate Cat6 cable indoors and outdoors
Perform routine maintenance tasks: updates, upgrades, installing software/drivers for IT systems
Monitor system backups
Having an exceptional understanding on computer hardware and networking concepts (DHCP, DNS, Telnet/SSH, PoE, LAN/WAN, Ethernet)
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel to all locations NJ and PA (company vehicle provided) and perform on-site tasks
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, work in tight spaces
Ability to bend, squat and work under desks or tables
Ability to lift 25-50 pounds on occasional basis and perform manual labor as needed
Operate hand tools

EDUCATION
IT certification or Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
