Property Manager/Accounts Receivables Manager
Real Estate Management company specializing in multifamily is seeking individual as Accounts Receivable Manager. The candidate must be a team player who can handle high volume in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: Account Receivable
Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and payment application
Communicating with tenants and building staffs (Follow up skills are critical).
Review and analyze tenant accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
Prepare and process journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions.
Running reports
Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue payments
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and answer customer inquiries
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and collection efforts
Sending out past due notices
Data entry
Filing new legal cases
Ability to interact and communicate with lawyer and city/state agencies
Process all attorney correspondence
Attending court appointments (Must be able to travel)
Verifying Leases are in order and have been posted properly in the system
Resolving any lease related inquiries
Experience & Requirements: Account Receivable
Minimum 2 years experience as Account Receivables Manager
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Legal field preferred
Proven experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, debits, credits, and journal entries
Strong organizational skills and knows how to prioritize work flow
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Yardi Software is a plus
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent phone etiquette
Proficient analytical skills, ability to investigate and problem solve
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is a plus
Legal and/or Accounting Background is a plus
Experience in Residential Real Estate is a plus
Knowledge of the New York and New Jersey Landlord/Tenant Court System is a plus
Must have a car
