Our client is a large and rapidly growing organization with a global reach looking to add an experienced Accounting Manager on a consultant basis with an internal track for a permanent management position. This company is looking for an experienced professional who can work on a team just as effectively as they and work independently with leadership skills.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$55/hr - $60/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Accounting Manager applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for a candidate with 3 - 5 years of experience with month-end close, accruals, financial analysis, etc. The ideal candidate should be hardworking and comfortable with meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry is a huge plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:
Prepare financial analyses and reports
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Perform input, maintenance, and review of financial reporting
Responsible for updating/reviewing the forecast on a weekly, monthly, and year-end basis
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER:
Experience overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
6+ years of progressive accounting experience required with 2+ years of managerial experience
The ideal candidate would have a mix of large corporate experience
Experience writing technical accounting memorandums as well as implementing new policies, procedures, and systems
Experience working at a large company
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple echelons of the organization
Confidence to interact with the company’s executives and leaders
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Track record of taking initiative and delivering results
Commitment to growing and developing professionally
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field
