Description We are offering an opportunity for a Contract Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial and inventory records for our organization. The Contract Accounts Payable Specialist will manage our accounts payable system, process payments and conduct routine inventory audits. Responsibilities: Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring all payments are made accurately and promptly Maintain precise accounts payable records and oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process Generate financial reports detailing accounts payables status to present to management Manage the inventory system, update and maintain inventory records Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure record accuracy and prevent overstock or shortage Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to resolve invoice discrepancies and discrepancies on receiving and vendor invoices Assist with month-end close processes, accruals and reconciliations Process payments using accounting software and other digital systems Maintain vendor database, including maintaining tax documents and confidentiality agreements Use Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions, including check processing and data entry Utilize SAP for various accounts payable operations.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Accounting Functions Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Check Processing Strong skills in Data Entry Knowledge of SAP software Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience in Accounts Payable.
