The Electrical Specialist Engineer’s main function would be to ensure that the power systems in the waste to energy business line are operated and maintained in a stable and safe way with the local teams. The role will include but is not limited to;●     Providing technical advice to the management and operations team(s).
●     Liaising with vendors, operations and maintenance teams in the planning of power system maintenance.
●     High voltage maintenance shutdown planning, including isolation planning,
●     Coordinating high voltage maintenance.
●     Updating maintenance procedures, and preparing new procedures as required.The generator fleet comprises of:●     Two GE 11kV steam turbo-generators
●     One 11kv emergency diesel generator,
●     One Triveni steam turbo-generator, and,
●     Three MWM CHP generators.This role requires knowledge of complex control and protection schemes which will need to be maintained and operated by a suitably qualified and experienced candidate.The engineer will need to be deeply involved in the maintenance of power system assets; Switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, station battery chargers etc.The position would suit an experienced engineer with strong experience in power systems or a protection engineer with at least 5+ (preferably 10) years of experience with high voltage systems including high voltage power generation.
