Employee Responsibilities:Laboratory ResponsibilitiesPerforms all duties relevant to the Quality Control Microbiology Analyst position as required.Performs environmental monitoring and compressed gas collection of controlled environmentsPerforms collection of water and clean steam samples from manufacturing systemsPerforms lab support functions and inventory managementMaintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventoryPerforms laboratory investigation reports.It uses a laboratory information management system (LIMS) for tracking samples and test results.Schedules the above tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basisA strong work ethic and ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more, walking and standing for extended periods, pushing or pulling carts and equipment, and bending down or reaching for supplies.Leadership ResponsibilitiesSupports and monitors the performance of a team of analystsMay participate in new hire interviewsSupports the on-boarding process of new employeesParticipates in training of other employees.Performs peer review of data.Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
