We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welding Technician to join our team in Bow, NH. This position plays a crucial role in the restoration of vehicles affected by rust and structural damage. As part of our technical crew, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding work on various vehicle components, including frames, rocker panels, floor pans, and other critical structural areas.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in precision welding, can follow repair specifications closely, and is committed to delivering reliable and safe results. You will work closely with our team of auto body professionals to ensure each vehicle leaves our shop in optimal condition, protected against further rust or corrosion. Responsibilities
-Perform MIG welding on vehicle components, including frames, undercarriages, rocker panels, quarter panels, and floor pans.
-Carry out structural rust repair and reinforcement using proper safety protocols and equipment.
-Fabricate and install replacement panels using metal shaping and cutting tools.
-Ensure all welding work is completed to a high standard of quality, structural integrity, and appearance.
-Coordinate with the auto body team to support the disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
-Inspect completed welds for accuracy, integrity, and safety compliance.
-Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
-Keep a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
-Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about project status and challenges.
-Stay updated on best practices and safety procedures related to automotive welding and restoration.
Skills
-Proven experience (2+ years) in MIG welding, preferably in an automotive or fabrication environment.
-Solid knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and behavior under heat.
-Experience with rust repair, frame welding, and working on older or corroded vehicle parts.
-Strong ability to measure, cut, and shape sheet metal and other components accurately.
-Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and safety.
-Comfortable using welding machines, plasma cutters, grinders, and other metalworking tools.
-Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
-Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and work in various positions as required.
