RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform grinding and orbital sanding on welded components.
Handle deburring processes manually while ensuring surface precision.
Remove sharp edges, slag, rust, and other imperfections from parts.
Operate entry-level tools such as orbital sanders, timesavers, and hand grinders.
Carefully manage finished goods to prevent damage during handling.
Keep the workstation clean and organized.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Assist in various departments as required, adapting to shifting priorities.
Support other shop duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Previous exposure to a manufacturing or prototyping environment is advantageous.
Willingness to learn blueprint reading and use shop tools.
Ability to walk or stand for long periods and use hands for detailed work.
Comfortable bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Able to function in environments with noise, temperature fluctuations, and airborne particles.
Prepared to work first shift (5x8-hour days) with potential overtime.
Flexible with schedule adjustments per supervisor direction.
