Job Summary:
Performs cleaning functions in various areas of the hospital. Maintains these areas in a clean and orderly fashion in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures and foremost to provide an environment conducive to patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requires operation of mechanical equipment such as vacuums.
- Visual acuity to detail cleanliness.
- Reasoning ability as employees must use self-judgment in changing sequence of areas cleaned to meet needs of unit or area.
- Promotes internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Builds and promotes a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
Attendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed inside with good ventilation and comfortable temperatures.
This job classification has occasional exposure to electric shock, x-ray and electromagnetic energy.
This job classification has routine exposure to radiation hazards, biohazardous materials, noxious odors, latex and musculoskeletal injuries.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must be comfortable lifting and carrying 25 lbs. frequently, pushing or pulling greater than 100 lbs.
Must be comfortable with frequent/prolonged walking, standing with occasional kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing and stooping.
