AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15-17. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.On Thursday and Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.AECOM is actively seeking a bright and highly motivated Entry-Level Project Information Specialist for employment in our Water Business Line based out of our New York, NY office.This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Introduced to financial terminology, measures, concepts and principles for analysis of financial data.Introduced to the company financial and cornerstone systems and processes.  Exposed to processes that increase recognition of financial impact of various project actions.Exposure to WBS concepts and principles.Research data for subsequent use in analyzing cost and schedule analysis. Developing knowledge of accounting principles.  Exposed to progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles.Assists in the collection of progress data and review of performance trends.Develops knowledge of earned value concepts, principles and methodology.Collects data and produces an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.  Collects data and produces an initial analysis for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.Provides support for tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures.Exposed to the concepts and principles of project revenue and cost.Develops knowledge of scope control and change management.Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.Assist with administrative functions of subconsultant management.Establish and maintain a Program Controls system monitoring and reporting Cost, Risk and Documentation progress against an agreed baseline.Review and analyze project/program and oversee the production of accurate progress/performance reports.Collaborate with the AECOM Global team and engaged in Controls services and key deliverables.Support program controls related activities for projects/programs or a specialist area of program controls, in support of the overall Project Managers.
