What You’ll Be Doing:Evolent is looking to hire a Sr. Director for a critical leadership role that will be owning the network strategy and network contracting for its primary care focused business segment, Evolent Care Partners. This individual will partner closely with the Performance and Payer Operations teams, and will be critical to the longitudinal management and success of the provider network.Responsibilities:
Provider Network Contracting -
Lead the provider contracting function for Evolent Care Partners (ECP), Evolent’s primary care risk business
Lead the design and administration of ECP’s value-based care contracts with our network of independent primary care practices
Partner closely with our Payer Growth, Actuarial, and Finance teams to design provider contracts in support of new payer risk arrangements
Lead contracting process, acting as principal negotiator, and secure buy-in from internal stakeholders
Partner closely with our Performance team to engage key executive stakeholders at our partner practices
Conduct financial modeling of contract terms and performance scenarios
Support contract implementation by ensuring tight alignment with operations teams
Primary Care Growth & Strategy -
Principal liaison into ECP’s Growth workstreams, including go-to-market strategy and payer/provider growth campaigns
Partner closely with Growth and Strategy teams to represent ECP’s perspectives, support due diligence of new opportunities, and liaise with ECP executives/SMEs as needed
Coordinate provider network engagement to ensure alignment and viable economics
Ensure business readiness for all growth
Collaborate on financial and operational evaluation of non-traditional growth opportunities
ECP Leadership -
Key leader of ECP’s leadership team, with visibility across ECP’s business and the opportunity to shape culture and strategy
Opportunity to grow & diversify responsibility over time
Engaged with executives across the company, including Evolent’s specialty management business and corporate Finance/Growth/Executive teams
The Experience We Prefer:
Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience
7+ years total experience across management consulting, healthcare contracting/business development, and/or value-based care operations
Strong relationship development skills, including executive relationships
Strong experience in complex contracting and financial modeling
Strong deal orientation
Outstanding attention to detail
Collaborative approach and passionate about innovation in healthcare
Finishing Touches:
Experience with value-based care and risk-based models
Experience partnering with independent primary care practices
Proven track record of negotiating and/or operationalizing managed care contracts with progressive provider and/or health plan organizations
Technical Requirements:We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router.
