Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.Under administrative direction, incumbents either: 1) perform duties described at this level and supervise at least one IT Professional III or II or Master IT Professional; or 2) perform duties described at this level within the Enterprise IT Services (EITS) Division for enterprise- level IT systems utilized by multiple departments; or 3) perform IT project management a preponderance of the time to include serving as the project leader; planning, organizing, and directing project activities; resolving design conflicts; data administration; resource allocation; contract negotiation; timeline development; critical path tracking; justifying the need for additional resources; and coordinating activities with other work units within and outside the organization as assigned; or 4) perform Information Security duties described at this level with at least 70% of the daily activities devoted solely to information security; or 5) perform technology planning and consultation duties within EITS. Technology planning and consultation duties include providing and/or performing: initial contact with agencies to assess their needs and develop their information technology plans; technical support for the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and software and hardware evaluations; guidance and technical assistance in completing appropriate Information Technology (IT) budget request forms; recommendations for feasible and cost effective technical solutions to customer agencies and reviewing agency IT project requests; research, information, testing and training for IT related issues to ensure viable, cost effective technology implementation; and enterprise-wide planning, policy and research. This position may be located in Carson City or Las Vegas office within the Information Technology Division, depending on where the most qualified candidate is found. The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is undertaking a multi-year comprehensive transformation of its systems, environment, and business structure. DMV is emphasizing a complete overhaul of service offerings. Centered around an online strategy wherever possible, this customer-focused model will be the "North Star" for all efforts. Implementation of the new solution is underway, and we are working with Salesforce, MuleSoft, .NET, Amazon Web Services and Slalom, on a multi-year effort to move into a cloud-based architecture providing incremental release of functionality. The incumbent will perform senior level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower-level IT staff as assigned; will be required to support existing applications and be involved in creating new projects individually or in a team environment. The size and scope of projects will range from small to large and complex depending on the system requirements. Experience with MuleSoft and the AnyPoint platform. Experience with .NET (.NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET 5+) in C#. Experience with .NET/C# can be substituted with experience in anther general purpose programming language such as Java, C, C, Ruby, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, among others. Experience in one or more relational database management systems (RDBMS) (e.g., MS SQL Server, IBM Db2, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) is required. Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, COBOL, and IBM Mainframe Technologies is desirable but is not required. This position will work closely with a Salesforce Development Team and DMV Motor Vehicle IT Division developers to develop new and enhance existing APIs developed on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of MuleSoft Integration Solutions. Furthermore, the position with develop new APIs and enhance existing APIs in C#.NET. Expected work output includes: Develop, monitor and manage MuleSoft integration solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability; Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to MuleSoft integrations; Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues; Support monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues; Support regular maintenance activities, such as patching and upgrades, to ensure the stability and security of the systems; Develop C# applications in .NET 8 and future releases; Develop applications in both .NET and MuleSoft that leverage AWS technologies, such as Lambda, API Gateway, AWS Batch, EC2; Document processes and procedures related to operational support and maintenance; Experience in operational support of MuleSoft or similar integration platforms; Experience with DevOps practices and tools; Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and its components.
