Work requires the application of technical engineering skills, methods and practices in compiling technical data, drafting, computer aided software, operating specialized equipment and preparing engineering related documents.Under general direction, incumbents function independently at the advanced journey level performing technical work requiring knowledge of engineering theories, principles, concepts and practices in a specialized areaThis position is located within the Adjudications Section of the Division of Water Resource in Carson City. Incumbent will provide support to Water Resources Specialists, Professional Engineers, and the Section Chief in the completion of assigned adjudications. Primary responsibilities will include performing technical checks of orders; developing maps, tables, and other supporting documents; performing field investigations and writing reports; reviewing incoming proofs of appropriation for technical accuracy; updating and maintaining databases; and other duties as assigned. The incumbent may also draft portions of assigned adjudications orders and create abstracts of claims.
