Incumbents act as a lead-worker on a regular and reoccurring basis over a staff of lower-level Casework Management Specialist 3, 2, and 1 positions.This position is responsible for the quality assurance, quality improvement and training of Child Welfare staff region-wide, including, but not limited to monitor the different program areas throughout the Rural Region for quality and compliance to ensure programs are operating effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with federal/state laws and agency policies and procedures. Demonstrate an advanced understanding of service coordination, and best practices related to safety, permanency and wellbeing of children as defined by state and federal mandates. Develop and implement training programs; develop appropriate training curricula, materials, and methods; establish training schedules, conduct training, and update curricula on an ongoing basis; provide on-site technical assistance, coaching, mentoring, consultation, and training to staff, supervisors, managers, and community Stakeholders. Perform field casework alone or in a training capacity as lead worker. Provide comprehensive reports from specific management requests concerning substantive changes in practice and procedures. Participate in the development and implementation of new procedures and processes in child welfare. Travel is expected as a part of this position and ranges from 25% - 50% of the time, dependent on agency needs. Individuals who have current licensure may be required to maintain licensure as a condition of continuing employment.Special RequirementsPositions may be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
