Job Description
- Maintain positive, strong relationships with customers and suppliers (Airline carriers, trucking companies and others involved)
- Ability to read client specific operating procedures and successfully execute upon them
- Ensure accurate and timely client billing
- Assist in resolving accounting issues
- Understand the department process flow to ensure smooth, accurate and timely freight process flow
- Data entry using Expeditors proprietary programs and systems
- Create accurate and timely documents for shipping purposes (Import/Export/Customs)
- Document scanning
- Meet compliance at all times by following internal and external regulations that are in accordance with government regulations
- Track and Trace as needed
- Continually look for best practices and ways to improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Other departmental duties as needed
- Continuous learning and professional development
Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must Type 45WPM+
- 10-key by touch a plus
- Functions efficiently in a high stress environment
- Genuine curiosity about Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Willing to work overtime
- Willing to learn, grow and prosper in a strong company culture
