Burton Creek Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant . We are an established small animal general and surgical specialty practice that focuses on high quality and personal veterinary care. We are looking for someone with a passion for animals and delivering great customer service. We are located in Tahoe City across the street from Skylandia Park and Lake Tahoe. Compensation: Commensurate with Experience (20-40$/hr) /Medical Benefits/ 401K/ Discounted pet Care/Licensing Fees and Continued Education/Breaks spent on the shore of Lake Tahoe!
DUTIES Including but not limited to:
● Perform all routine care including but not limited to vaccinations, micro-chipping, blood draws, urine and fecal sample collection, and eye, ear, wound, nail care, etc. Prepare samples to send out or perform in-house tests, and maintain the laboratory
● Work closely with and assist the veterinarians in all medical care for the patients
● Help manage medications as prescribed by the veterinarians
● Assist on an as needed basis with managing the flow of patients through the clinic
● As needed prepare patients for surgery using hospital procedures, assist surgeon, keep thorough records

Effective written and verbal communication skills with vet, coworkers, and clients.
