GENERAL SUMMARY: Sew Yeah is currently seeking a Retail Sewing Machine Salesperson. This position entails approaching customers, demoing sewing machines and closing sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Know functions of all sewing machines in store. Be able to effectively communicate to customers what each machine does. Be able to close deals and sell machines to customers. Be able to teach clients how to use purchased machines. Be able to demo machines to potential customers. Report on machines/parts sold. Effectively order machines/parts based on need. Present to potential buyers , convincing them of the quality of the machines and their need to purchase. Machine cost is anywhere between $100-$40,000.
QUALIFICATIONS: Availability to work full time. Previous (commission based) sales experience. Working at a retail store is not sales experience (ie. cashier at Kohls, buckle, fast food etc) Must be willing to learn all there is to know about Bernina, Brother, Janome and other machines to become successful- We will provide training on some aspects however lots of self study is involved. You must have previous sewing or quilting knowledge. Self motivated Friendly, outgoing and quality customer services skills are a must.
