Description We are currently in search of a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role involves performing a range of accounting duties, including managing general ledger activities, preparing financial statements, and handling job cost and project accounting tasks. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in using software like QuickBooks and Sage 100/Timberline.Responsibilities: Oversee the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date Prepare financial statements to provide a clear picture of the company's financial health Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded Handle job cost accounting tasks, ensuring all costs are accurately allocated to respective projects Prepare journal entries for month-end close procedures Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and ensure all data is correctly entered and maintained Use Sage 100/Timberline software for specific industry-related accounting tasks Assist with loan draw experience, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly Contribute to project accounting processes, ensuring all project-related financials are accurately maintained and reported.If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Kathy Beavers at Robert Half, see contact information on LinkedIn.Requirements A minimum of three years of experience in the role of Staff Accountant or similar capacity in the accounting field Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, and Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 100, and Sage Timberline Skilled in Financial Statement Preparation Knowledge of Job Cost and Project Accounting practices Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently High level of integrity and professionalism Must adhere to all confidentiality and ethical standards of the accounting profession.
